Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink.
You've heard it before, but you never really knew where it came from. That, and some nonsense about an albatross. Well, here it is, Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner, in seven really small files with navigational links at the bottom of each page.
Coleridge was English. This piece dates from the late 1700's or early 1800's. I believe Coleridge was considered a writer of the Romantic period. As soon as I do some more research, I'll write a more useful introduction.
